A lot has already been written about this COVID19 Corona SARS Virus whatever pandemic - so I won't say anything about it now, although I would really like to let my hair down in view of these sometimes bungling and existence-threatening decisions of the last few months....Work with professionals, just once, please!
We see light at the end of the tunnel!
Of course, this biggest crisis in post-war history has also hit us hard, we too have had to close our hotels and put almost all our employees on short-time working - sooo hard and difficult for many of us! But there really is light at the end of the tunnel - and this time it's not an oncoming train! At last, the first hotels are allowed to reopen, our employees can finally be back in the hotel and pamper guests; it has taken long enough and now we are looking positively to the future.
It's not just our "twice" brand that is growing.
The halbersbacher hospitality group will continue to grow, now more than ever! Our "twice" brand is about to be re-launched and "tinyTwice" and "mightyTwice" are being created at locations including Bonn, Dresden and Achern. But as if nothing had happened, a whole host of new employees are now joining us and will strengthen the halbersbacher team in the future in order to develop the entire company even further and secure it economically for everyone. Be it Bart as Director of Operations, Andrea for the digital time recording of all employees, Janine and Kristin to strengthen the financial accounting, Mathias as project coordinator for all the upcoming projects, including the new hotel openings and the digitalisation projects of the entire company, Robert as our new in-house lawyer, Luisa, Christopher and Mathias in the revenue and sales team and, from 1 July, our central room reservation for all hotels.
Our team has superpowers.
Wow....writing these lines makes me realise once again how much we continue to invest in the halbersbacher team and it makes me a little bit humble that we are able to do so.
The next few months will be tough, despite the reopening of many hotels, because the conference and event sector - or even the trade fairs - will still need a long time to recover. But I am confident that, with our team, we will be able to master the new challenges of the coming period.
We won't bury our heads in the sand - it always makes you grind your teeth.....
